Kid Friendly Easter Basket

Want a quick and easy Easter craft to do with the kids?? Check out my Kid Friendly Easter Basket I "whipped" up this evening.

First you'll need:
  • card stock
  • scrapbook paper
  • glue stick
  • ruler
  • scissors or straight edge cutter
  • ribbon (optional)

Measure and Cut your pieces:
  • 1 basket handle - 1/2" x 7"
  • 1 basket trim - 3/4" x 6 1/4"
  • 4 basket slats - 3/4" x 5 3/4"
Glue the 4 slats onto the trim piece side by side.

Now start weaving the slats. Start with the end of the first slat and glue it next to the top of the fourth slat. Continue this pattern with the next 3 pieces.

Next glue the handle to the inside of the basket. Finally, decorate your basket with a ribbon and some filling. I cut narrow pieces of card stock and folded them accordian style and used that as filling.

These baskets would be great to fill with candy or use as a safe place to keep a decorated Easter egg.
